Chief One and JJ Gonami Set to Blaze the Stage at Shatta Fest Accra 2026

Volta Region’s musical powerhouses, Chief One and JJ Gonami (popularly known as Dr. Gbekui), are ready to take Accra by storm as they join the stellar lineup for Shatta Fest 2026. Coming off the back of their electrifying performances at the Ho edition of the festival earlier this month, the two vibrant artistes have officially been confirmed for the upcoming Accra showcase. Their inclusion highlights the growing influence of Volta music on Ghana’s national stage.

For Lawanda Republic boss Chief One, this performance continues an incredible trajectory of high-energy stage craft and hit releases that have captivated audiences across the country. Meanwhile, JJ Gonami’s signature style and deep connection with fans make him one of the most anticipated acts on the bill. Together, the duo represents a wave of talent coming out of the Volta Region, ready to light up one of the biggest concert crowds in the capital.

The transition from the Ho festival stage to the massive arena of Shatta Fest Accra offers both artistes a critical platform for brand expansion. Beyond delivering unforgettable performances, the event serves as an ideal launchpad for the duo to engage with music executives, network with international patrons, and widen their listener base across West Africa. Fans in Accra can expect nothing short of pure, unadulterated energy when these two take the mic.

Industry stakeholders and fans alike continue to heap congratulations on both acts for claiming their rightful spot among Ghana's performing elite. As anticipation builds toward the event, Chief One and JJ Gonami stand ready to prove once again that the Volta Region remains a major powerhouse in driving the future of Ghanaian music.
